FAMILY FRIENDS OF SCOUTING
|
|
One of the many principals taught in Scouting is giving back to our communities. Each one of us is able to do this in a monetary way through Family Friends of Scouting. We are able to support many under privileged youth in our community by the funds raised through this effort. These groups include many boys and girls homes within the Foothills District who would never have contact with the values and life-changing benefits of the Scouting Program without many generous donors like there are in Foothills. I wanted to publicly thank each of the units who have already given, and I will continue to do this throughout the Spring. Here are the units that have given so far, and I thank in advance all those who are still scheduled to give:

Alumni Connection
Through the BSA Alumni Connection, you can find Scouting friends and mentors, add your story to the growing BSA 100th Anniversary online scrapbook, and find out how you can re-engage with Scouting programs.
Generations Connection
For many, Scouting is a tradition that is handed down generation to generation. Scouting provides the opportunity to strengthen ties between family members, create great family memories, and develop a shared family foundation of worthwhile virtues and values. The Generations Connection encourages Scouts to explore the positive impact of Scouting on families through a program centered around the enduring symbol of the tree.
