Learning for Life Updates
It is the mission of Learning for Life to enable young people to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, career development, leadership, and life skills so they can make moral choices and achieve their full potential.
Friends of Scouting

Awards and Scholarships
Easy Money!!!! The time is near for all senior explorers to start applying for various awards and scholarships. Send your applications in early, deadlines will be fast approaching this spring! All awards and scholarship applications can be downloaded from www.learning-for-life.org. Any young adult is eligible for the Young American Award and all youth participating in the high school Learning for Life or Exploring program can apply for an array of awards.

Got Popcorn??
It is time for all of our units to sign up to sell popcorn. This is a great opportunity for the youth in the units to raise money to attend camps, Winterfest, as well as units to provide a better program for our youth! All units are asked to sale a minimum of $500 to help support our youth and all of our outreach programs. The Popcorn sale begins August 20!. Sell to your family members, neighbors, church friends, parents co-workers and of course all POPCORN LOVERS!! Your participation in this Council-wide effort is greatly needed! | Learning for Life offers seven programs designed to support schools and community based organizations in their efforts to prepare youth to successfully handle the complexities of contemporary society and to enhance their self-confidence, motivation, and self-esteem. The seven programs focus on character education and career education. Learning for Life programs help youth develop social and life skills, assist in character development, and help youth formulate positive personal values. Generations Connection
For many, Scouting is a tradition that is handed down generation to generation. Scouting provides the opportunity to strengthen ties between family members, create great family memories, and develop a shared family foundation of worthwhile virtues and values. The Generations Connection encourages Scouts to explore the positive impact of Scouting on families through a program centered around the enduring symbol of the tree.
