Learning for Life Updates
It is the mission of Learning for Life to enable young people to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, career development, leadership, and life skills so they can make moral choices and achieve their full potential.
Friends of Scouting
Friends of Scouting is an opportunity for you to financially support the youth in our community so that they can become a part of our Traditional and Non-traditional programs. If you are interested in supporting our Learning for Life and Exploring programs, please call Tia at 233-8363.

Character Camp
Character Camp is a special field day available to all Special Needs Learning for Life In-School Participants. This annual event is held at Camp Old Indian in northern
Greenville
County, our sponsoring council’s nationally accredited camp. This event is provided at no cost to the participating school or youth. Character Camp 2010 has been scheduled for
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 for all elementary Learning for Life students, and
Friday, April 30, 2010, for all middle and high school Learning for Life students.
At Character Camp 2010, students will enjoy outdoor camp activities and character education presentations and activities that are led by experts, such as: hiking, arts and crafts, archery, animal presentations, field games and more! Groups will be able to eat lunch and depart when needed.

Awards and Scholarships
Easy Money!!!! The time is near for all senior explorers to start applying for various awards and scholarships. Send your applications in early, deadlines will be fast approaching this spring! All awards and scholarship applications can be downloaded from www.learning-for-life.org. Any young adult is eligible for the Young American Award and all youth participating in the high school Learning for Life or Exploring program can apply for an array of awards.
