First, thank you Tim Sanders, Todd Atkins, our OA chapter and many more of our outstanding volunteers in the Long Cane district for helping put together another great camporee down on
Lake
Greenwood. School round ups are coming to a close and we must work together to keep these first year Scouters, along with the veteran Scouters active in the BSA program. We still have two cub parent weekends left and I encourage everyone to attend. Do not let the upcoming winter weather slow your program down. I encourage all of you to remain active and continue going on outings to keep these kids involved and enthused about the program through the upcoming holidays and winter months.

| Training |
|
Training this fall has been going great, and we have only one training left. All leaders know that in order to have a strong program and give the scouts the program in which they deserve, we must have trained leaders. Being a trained leader is very important and will only help strengthen the program. Leaders should update training every 2 years and is a must for all new leaders for 2008. We have ONE more training left which will be held on November 1st at
8:30AM at Main St. United Methodist of
Greenwood. Any leaders that have not been trained NEED to come to our final training course. The cost will be $3.00 per participant and will include a trained patch after all requirements have been met, a trained leader card, doughnuts and juice. If you have not been trained yet, please contact Andrew Reale at 404-213-3024 to register for the training. |
