Merit Badge University

Fifty (50) merit badges will be offered. Twelve are Eagle required!

The BRC MBU is an approved BSA NOVA Award [1] event also as we offer many of the merit badges required to earn the awards.

Please start checking this website www.BRCMBU.org routinely after November 1, 2011 for news and updates for the 2012 BRC MBU.

Important dates:

November 5, 2011 – the BRC MBU website opens to view the merit badges

December 3, 2011 at 8:30 AM sharp – link scout to his merit badge choice.

January 6, 2012 5:30 PM – the registration closes

January 21, 2012 – the main day of MBU

Nuclear Science will be held on Jan 14^th at the T9 Scout Hut at BSUMC.

THE EAGLE REQUIRED MERIT BADGES FILL UP VERY FAST. BE PREPARED by having your scouts listed in the database before Dec 3^th.

Locations:

The main location is Buncombe Street United Methodist Church (BSUMC) downtown Greenville. In addition, we have several sites spread out over the Up Country including Camp Old Indian, Roper Mountain Science Center, Furman University, Bob Jones University, Fluor-Daniel and the Greenwood YMCA (swimming and lifesaving). Watch for details at our website.
