Recharters |
|
Believe it or not, it’s that time again to recharter our units and it’ll be upon you really soon.
Saluda
River has February/March Recharter Units. Your District Executive will be passing out Recharter’s at Roundtables so please make all efforts to attend the roundtable at
Broad
Street
Unite
Methodist
Church at
7:00pm on the First Thursday of the month. Those units that can’t make it please make plans to contact Jason Smith to get your recharter in your hands. He can be reached at 864-245-7766. To be on time, our packs, troops, crews and posts need to be recharter in the month they are due to be an “on time unit.” This is necessary to be a quality unit and also to qualify for Gold Star Status. Your units recharter should be turned in at the Roundtable of the month it is due. For more information please contact Jason Smith.

Pinewood Derbies and Gold Banquets |
| If you are new to scouting, now is the time for Cub Scout Packs to begin holding unit Pinewood Derbies and Blue and Gold Banquets. Packs should have races to give your cub scouts opportunity to have a bonding experience with their parents in building and racing the car. Blue and gold Banquets are the big pack meetings of the year for any pack. It is a time to show off what you have accomplished during the year and have a great meal to boot (invite you’re DE). If you have questions concerning either one of these activities or would just like ideas or suggestions, the roundtable is a great place to get help. |

Generations Connection
For many, Scouting is a tradition that is handed down generation to generation. Scouting provides the opportunity to strengthen ties between family members, create great family memories, and develop a shared family foundation of worthwhile virtues and values. The Generations Connection encourages Scouts to explore the positive impact of Scouting on families through a program centered around the enduring symbol of the tree.
