Software
| Background |
| For several years, leaders in BSA units have been using a variety of computer software applications to manage the various aspects of unit operations. This software has evolved over the years to provide leaders with accurate tracking of their youth members, adult leaders, and parents. It is used to track active members, attendance, advancements, camping trips, other outings, and in some cases, financial information. |
| ScoutNET |
| The ScoutNET system works with BSA-approved unit management software. ScoutNET accepts information from software, uploads it to the Program Administration System (PAS), and verifies it against what is already in the system. |
| Currently, PAS can: |
Accept charter renewal information. |
Accept additional enrollments. |
Accept unit advancement information. |
Export a file to give a new unit management software use a starting point of information. |
| The Registrar still has final review and control of the information before it is posted. |
