Classroom Training
Cub Scout Leaders Specific Training
Cub Scout Leader Specific Training underwent some changes in the past year. This class has been historically offered only in a classroom setting. However, the National Council has made a very thorough web version that is offered online at the E-Learning Website.

The Blue Ridge Council loves technology, and want to embrace the tools of the next 100 years of Scouting, but we feel that there is still value to learning in a classroom setting from a live teacher who can answer your questions and offer a personal touch that some may feel is missing from the online course.

This course will be offered periodically through the year

BALOO Training
Baloo is a one day training that introduces parents and leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping. This Training is required for any adult who is in charge of planing a Pack camp out and it is recommended that on adult per pack complete Baloo Training.

Webelos Outdoor Training
Webelos Leader Outdoor Training is for all Webelos leaders. This supplemental training course covers the skills and resources needed to teach the outdoor activity badges and helps to provide good and safe outdoor experiences.

Pow Wow

Pow Wow is an all day training "college." Choose 4 classes out of 12-15 options. Classes vary from year to year, but are always taught by veteran leaders who are full of tips and knowledge that is useful to any Pack Leader at any level.

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Science and Nature
  • Camping
  • Cooking
  • Emergency Training
  • Den Meetings
