The Power to Shape the Future…is YOU
Your gift will make a difference. The Blue Ridge Council serves thousands of youth and adult volunteers in eight counties throughout the Upstate of South Carolina.
Ask yourself this question. What does the Scout Slogan, “Do a Good Turn Daily”, mean to you? Your gift to Scouting is your Good Turn that will enable Scouts today and, tomorrow the opportunity to continue to do their good turn for America.
Friends of Scouting is our annual fundraising campaign that supports our Scouts and adult leaders. Funds not only help with financial assistance for our Scouts and families but also go to our great programs at Camp Old Indian! In order for us to continue the excellence you expect out of Scouting, we need your help. Our goal is 100% participation. Our 2024 Friends of Scouting Campaign is underway! You can donate to the 2024 Friends Of Scouting funds below.
Endowment funds ensure that Scouting in our area can continue into the future. There are several ways that a donor may make contributions to the endowment fund and become part of our Second Century Society or recognized with the James E. West Fellowship.
To learn more about endowment giving opportunities, please contact the Blue Ridge Council at (864) 233-8363.

James. E. West was the first Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America, a position he held for more than three decades. A West Fellowship is available for gifts of cash or marketable securities designated to the Council endowment fund. Donors may make cumulative gifts to reach the levels beyond Bronze membership. NCAC recognizes West Fellows with a certificate, pin and knot patch with the opportunity to have an engraved brick installed at the Marriott Scout Service Center.
An outright gift of $25,000 or more payable over five years, or a deferred gift of $100,000 or more, to a local council, BSA Foundation, high adventure base or any BSA entity for operating, capital or endowment.
Since 2011, Second Century Society members have given over $200 million to support the operational, capital and endowment needs of Scouting. While every member has a different way they express their vision for Scouting’s future, they have a common goal… ensuring all youth continue to experience Scouting in its Second Century and beyond.
