Join Us For Our 100th Year in 2026!

Why Come to Camp Old Indian?

Because this is YOUR summer. At Camp Old Indian, you’ll climb, paddle, shoot, explore, and compete while earning badges and making new friends from across the Southeast. Every trail leads to adventure, every challenge builds your confidence, and every night around the campfire adds to your story as a Scout.

2026 isn’t just any summer—it’s the 100th anniversary of Camp Old Indian AND the 250th anniversary of the United States. That means special programs, epic challenges, and celebrations you’ll only experience this year. And yes—you’ll get the exclusive Centennial Patch to prove you were part of history.

What’s New in 2026

Get ready for the biggest lineup of adventures camp has ever offered:

• Falconry with live birds of prey as part of Bird Study
• New routes for rappelling at Glassy Mountain
• Paddleboarding, snorkeling,
• Cowboy Action Targets and advanced shooting sports
• Digital Media Production—be the anchor for Station WCOI
• Hammock hookups in campsites
• Astronomy at our Night Sky Observatory Platform
• Catapults, kites, totem pole carving, taxidermy basics, and dog training
• A camp-wide square dance to celebrate 100 years of campfires and fun

Plus: more merit badge bundles, new leadership challenges, bigger camp-wide games, and expanded high adventure treks.

Adventure Programs

Want more adrenaline? Check out off-site whitewater rafting, rappelling at Glassy Mountain, and the aerial adventure course for zip lines and climbing on the tower. Whether you’re a first-year Scout or pushing for Eagle, Camp Old Indian has a program that will take you higher.

Camp Life

Live with your troop in Adirondack-style campsites (some even have tree cabins!). Cool off in the air-conditioned dining hall, hit the trading post, play in sub-camp games, and join massive camp-wide competitions for the Golden Feather. Every night brings campfires, fellowship, and fun.

Be Part of History

This is it—the Centennial Summer. The year of adventure. The year of celebration. The year you’ll never forget. Don’t just hear the stories—make them. Be at Camp Old Indian in 2026 and own your place in Scouting history.
